Adult self-defense

IKMF Krav Maga Primal offers self-defense courses for adults. Initially this fighting style was developed for the military sector, but later it was adapted to the civilian sector. This self-defense still has been developed so that it can be learned in a relatively short time. Even by participating in two trainings a week, the student can learn a series of self-defense techniques that can prove vital in dangerous situations.

IKMF Krav Maga is a fighting system that was developed based on human natural reflexes. For this reason it is accessible to all people, regardless of age, gender, or previous experience in contact sports or martial arts.

The self-defense techniques learned are based on real situations and include the different defense and counterattack solutions that derive from these scenarios. As students progress, and progress in degree, these situations, as well as the techniques learned, become more and more complex.

Principles of IKMF Krav Maga:

  • Defensive and offensive techniques performed simultaneously.

  • Development of physical aggression (NOT mental, emotional, or psychological). In IKMF Krav Maga physical aggression is considered one of the most important advantages in a confrontation.

  • Use of any available object as a weapon.

  • Attacks and counterattacks executed as quickly as possible.

  • Attacks that are directed at the most vulnerable parts of the body.

  • Permanent awareness of the situation and the environment. The goal is to identify possible ways to escape a dangerous situation, identify potential aggressors and identify objects that can be used as weapons.

  • Development of muscle memory and instinctive reactions in conditions of extreme stress.

Equipment needed:

The necessary equipment includes light sports clothes (possibly replacement shirts), clean sports shoes and enough liquids.

If you have them, you are encouraged to bring protective equipment, such as shells, splints, gloves, shins, forearm guards.

We mention: Krav Maga is a contact fighting system, so small injuries cannot be completely ruled out.

Requirements for participation in courses:

In order to participate in these self-defense courses, you must not have any facts in your criminal record. (In special cases the presentation of the criminal record may be required).
You have to be fit for sports.
It is not necessary to have previously practiced contact sports.
This course is addressed to both beginners and advanced.
